The Sky

I look to the sky for help
Your face appears, but your not here
Still I see you softly engraved in the clouds
I reach out to touch
Wind blows softly
Accepting my cry for help
A cold kiss to my skin
The wind cries my silent scream.
Blowing harder your face drifts with the breeze
Still I look to the sky for help

  1. This was written so beautifully. I really love it. The emotion and connections really show. I can relate to this except clouds freak me out. :P

  3. I enjoyed reading the journal entry and then reading the poem. I think you did a good job of selecting the best words to create a sharp image in the poem that conveys the cold emptiness of loss.
